What do emergent leaders look like?
Emergent leaders are people who are comfortable not having all the answers. They generally seek consensus, but know when to make a quick firm decision. They look more like a coach than a general. They freely share information and communicate clearly. Emergent leaders often have an entrepreneurial spirit even if they are not in a traditional business setting. Technology is utilized for increased productivity, and quickly rejected if found non-beneficial. They easily inspire others to action. They are often empathetic and compassionate. Collaboration is usually their favorite means to accomplish projects because they naturally see value in multiple people’s perspectives.
